In the dance of relationships what if we focussed our intention inward rather than outwards? Make the intention to change your response to others rather than the intention to change others. If we work on making healthy changes within ourselves for ourselves we may find that others respond to us according to the healthy change we've made facilitating in turn, a positive shift in them. Trying to change the self rather than trying to change the other can be empowering, decrease resentment, improve relationships, and build confidence. Can you think of any other benefits?
